This story will make you laugh, but at its heart are lessons about the power of positivity. Working in a system of bean counters and clock watchers, our main character Mika is an adventurous spirit who follows her instincts and makes the most out of every situation. Partnered with a crotchety, sentient mail-truck, the duo travel the galaxy one mail-box at a time. But if they want to keep their jobs….they’ll have to FULL SEND!

  • Mika: Raised on the once-reclusive swamp and bog covered world of Qualtria. However, since the onset of industry and interstellar trade, her planet’s climate has been rapidly degrading – impacting the health of every new generation raised there. After studying biology and climate-systems, Mika realized that the solution to her planet’s troubles might lay somewhere out in the stars. So she got the first job she could find that would take her to every corner of the United Systems of Galaxia – parcel delivery.

  • Randy: A grizzled and mustachioed ex-detective, RAN-D used to think he was nearing the end of his trails – washed up in low stakes mail delivery. That was until he got paired with a parcel person that was the opposite of “by the book”. Suddenly, every day became an adventure whether he liked it or not, and before he realized it, he even grew to like Mika, the snot nosed punk.

  • The USGPS: The United Systems of Galaxy Parcel Service is run almost entirely by a highly bureaucratic alien species affectionately nick-named “The Boxes”. Their tolerance for shenanigans: zero. Their affinity for a good chuckle: less than zero. It is their unceasing goal to create the most efficient system of mail delivery in the galaxy – if only there weren’t so many pesky personalities getting in the way. Mika is one bad day away from disciplinary action, and “The Boxes” would love to give it to her.
  • How it started: Like most good ideas at this company, it started with a conversation. After refining the tone and purpose of the story  and flushing out a rich multi-layered background (as well as narrative arcs for the next 2 seasons) he grabbed his pencil and got to work. The only issue: his visual specialty had always been stick figures. So, once he got a basic layout of panel structure, dialogue, and scene flow, he knew it was time to get some more experienced hands behind the brush. After an extensive series of applications and interviews, Andy Gordon rose to the top as the number one pick for this series. His other works showed his high degree of skill with sci-fi tech, alien creatures, and dynamic action. As often as possible, RDCD tries to leave room for Andy’s artistic interpretation – and he has always gone above and beyond.

  • How it changed: Every member of the RDCD team has a deep respect for their audience, and thus very high standards for what is produced. At every stage of the collaborative process the team looked for ways to make the story a little brighter, a little cleaner, a little funnier. Though the core of the characters and the storyline remained the same, the addition of Andy  allowed visual gags and complex scenes to be elevated. In fact, RDCD often found the art did so much of the ‘heavy lifting’ that bits of dialogue or exposition were taken out. The final product became so much more than the sum of each contribution. We hope you agree.

Now that the audience has been introduced to the characters he world and the premise of Mika’s adventure, RDCD can dive headlong into the meat of the project. Issue Two is ready and waiting and action packed. Science experiments,  feats of daring, out-of-date training videos, and meeting Mika’s mom are just some of what’s in store. However, the story can’t be made without you. In order for RDCD to continue Mika’s adventure and keep giving you everything they’ve got, we need your support. Buy comics, merchandise, or donate directly. Any help is greatly appreciated.
